Yan Junling is a legendary wing defender at Shanghai Port. He was born on January 28, 1956, in Fushun City, Liaoning Province, China. Yan Junling started his career as a member of the People's Liberation Army Air Force and later joined the Chinese Navy.
In 1977, he graduated from Tsinghua University with a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduation, he joined the People's Liberation Army Air Force and served as a fighter pilot. In 1984, he transferred to the Chinese Navy and became a fighter pilot.
In 1989, Yan Junling was assigned to the Shanghai Naval District.
