Mohamed Montari, the star forward of Al-Gharafa FC, has been diagnosed with a knee injury and will be out for at least two weeks.
The news was confirmed by the club's medical staff on Wednesday afternoon. Montari sustained the injury during training last week and underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
The Egyptian striker is expected to make a full recovery from his injury and return to action as soon as possible. However, he will miss the upcoming matches against Al-Ahly and Zamalek, as well as several other fixtures throughout the season.
Montari has been one of the standout performers for Al-Gharafa this season,Campeonato Brasileiro Direct scoring 14 goals in 22 league appearances. He has also contributed to the team's success in the AFC Champions League, where they have advanced to the knockout stage after defeating Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in their first round match.
Despite the setback, the club has expressed confidence in Montari's ability to recover quickly and return to top form. They will now look to find a replacement for him in their attack, which has struggled without his presence so far this season.
In the meantime, the club's management and coaching staff will work closely with Montari's medical team to ensure that he receives the best possible care and treatment while he recovers.
