Bishop's season ratings at Juventus
At the end of the 2018-19 Serie A season, there were mixed reviews regarding the performances of defender Mattia Destro and midfielder Marco Verratti at Juventus.
Destro was one of the team's key players in the previous season, but his form dipped this year. He scored just three goals and provided four assists in all competitions, which is not up to his usual standards. However, he still managed to win two caps for Italy.
On the other hand, Verratti had a less successful season than last year. He scored only one goal and assisted once in all competitions,Campeonato Brasileiro Direct which is a far cry from his usual output of 16 goals and 14 assists in the 2017-18 season. Despite his lack of goals, Verratti remains a key player for Juventus, as he provides excellent passing and vision on the pitch.
In terms of defensive contributions, both players made significant errors during the season. Destro was often guilty of making costly mistakes that allowed opponents to score, while Verratti struggled with his concentration levels and his ability to read the game.
Despite their shortcomings, both players remain important figures in the team's success. They will need to step up their game if they want to continue playing for Juventus next season.
